Emily V. Biscardi, founder and CEO of Xelerate, LLC recently received a Brava! Award, which recognizes 25 of Greater Philadelphia’s women business leaders.
Presented by Philadelphia SmartCEO, the Brava! Award celebrates the distinguished achievements of top female CEOs who exemplify entrepreneurial determination along with eagerness to give back to the community and strong leadership characteristics. There will be an award ceremony on Wednesday, July 24 and the winners will be profiled in the July 2013 issue of Philadelphia SmartCEO magazine.

Biscardi has 15 years of experience leading recruitment strategy and providing consulting services to a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, and financial services. Client experiences range from emerging growth nonprofit organizations to Fortune 500 companies including Main Line Health, IMS Health, The John Templeton Foundation, and Maxwell Systems.
Biscardi is also a member of Philadelphia Impact 100, this year co-chairing the Arts & Culture Focus Area Committee. Philadelphia Impact 100 is a nonprofit organization that unites women in a common philanthropic effort to support charitable initiatives in the Greater Philadelphia region. Biscardi also serves on the board of directors of the New Leaf Club, a nonprofit education and entertainment youth center dedicated to assisting young people connect to their whole, healthy, and artistic self. “With leadership and success comes responsibility, and it is meaningful that this award acknowledges and encourages the great philanthropic work that so many women leaders are doing in our area.”
